Walking with Evernote

Here's an idea that could help anyone working on a project or developing an idea. It can also help you get more active as well.

If a 'wow moment' would come in handy, I suggest you head outside with either a notepad or your smartphone and take a walk.

All you need to do is relax and let your mind settle. I'm certain that you'll then start to get some very helpful ideas and I find it's almost like the mind has been working hard behind the scenes.

If you'd tried to track me down while I was creating The Simplicity System website, there's a good chance that you would have found me walking by the sea with my iPhone in my hand. Although some people may think that this is the most unproductive, and perhaps lazy, thing to do, I genuinely don't think you're likely to get great ideas while you're sat at your desk working hard.

These flashes of inspiration can really make a difference and you don't need to do much to make them happen.

The Evernote app is particularly useful when you're out walking, as it's designed to allow you to make quick notes and reference them easily afterwards. You can also make voice recordings if it's easier.

For me, this is one of the best ways to put yourself in a position where you're going to get great ideas. It should also serve up plenty of solutions if you're stuck.

It's easy to do and it's something you can try right away. You'll be really glad you tried this and it's sure to become part of your creative process.
