Here's a great idea that can help you stay focussed while you're working. Deep work is so important when we want to get things done, but it's so easy to lose track and sink a lot of time into something that's really not important.
A bright idea will enter your head and before you know it, you’re on a website looking at potential holiday destinations rather then the important thing you’ve sat down to do.
A great solution to this problem is a distraction document. You simply need to have a notepad, or an open document, ready while you work to quickly jot down any ideas that pop into your head.
This helps your brain move on from it and get back to work.
Just try this next time you're working to see what a difference it makes. It should also be easier to work on the things that distracted you later on as well, as your attention won't be divided.
